A Lay Conversation with the Bishop for Wardens and Treasurers
Bishop Carlye Hughes is eager to once again spend time in conversation with the wardens and treasurers of the diocese, to reflect and consider what we, our churches, and our communities have learned and experienced as we have adjusted to the changes this time has demanded of us.
We will have diocesan staff speak briefly in the plenary session then each of you will go into the breakout session for which you're registered. Why? So that you may share what you know, ask the questions that everyone needs the answers to and laugh about the mistakes you’ve already made so others can laugh along with you as they learn. To paraphrase Paul in Romans 12, “…we are all joined to each other as different parts of one body…” and we all depend on all parts working together. While we are excited to include Journey Forward/Reopening leaders, if your church is unable to have at least one warden and the treasurer participate in this session, please email Kay Lark at klark@dioceseofnewark.org.
This Zoom conversation is open to all members of the diocese and is scheduled for 90 minutes. There is no need to register for this call.
An email invitation will be sent Monday, September 21st to recipients of The Voice Online with sign-in instructions for this Zoom meeting.
