Grace Notes
Nineteenth Sunday after Pentecost
September 29, 2024

O God, you declare your almighty power chiefly in showing mercy and pity: Grant us the fullness of your grace, that we, running to obtain your promises, may become partakers of your heavenly treasure; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen..

ABOUT THE SEASON AFTER PENTECOST . . . The Season after Pentecost is the “ordinary time” of the Church, the time of the Church’s pilgrimage on her way to the Kingdom of God. During these weeks between Pentecost and Advent the Church explores her life, role and place in the narrative that began with Creation (and the fall) and leads to the Redemption of the world by our Lord Jesus Christ and the empowerment of the Church by the Holy Spirit on Pentecost to be Christ’s Body, carrying out Christ’s mission, until his coming again.

OUR PRAYERS ARE ASKED FOR . . . . the sick and those in need, especially The Most Reverend Michael Curry, Presiding Bishop, The Rev. James Warnke, priest, Catherine Gooch, Larry Toppin, Lesly Gannelli, Diane Tekirian, Howard Goldin, Chris Spilker, Lexi Manning, Gina DeMarsico, Stephanie Luciani, Christian Davis, Shawn Davis, Felix Wroten, Suzanne Morris, Lauren Rosenthal, Nancy Mohr, Roseanne Levine, Jenafer Medina, Charlotte Wilson, Rich Landi, Lorie and John Menitti, John Whitlock and Gaylord Hitchcock, priest.

POTLUCK FALL FESTIVAL THIS SUNDAY . . . Save the date for a potluck lunch at Holy Trinity Church, Hillsdale, on September 29, 12-2PM.

Dear Family and Friends,

I am happy to invite you to a special fall gathering.  Holy Trinity Church has invited us to join them on Sunday, September  29, 2024 for a Potluck Festival Luncheon. The luncheon will be held outside on Holy Trinity's lawn (inside in the event of inclement weather) in Hillsdale from 12pm to 2:00 pm. Please come with your family and friends.

We have been asked to bring a delicious dish to share which includes side dishes, main dishes, desserts, and drinks.  Several people have already signed up to bring a dish which includes cucumber salad, macaroni salad, pulled pork and rolls, and meatballs.

If you would like to bring a dish, please email me (ingren58@gmail.com) or call me (973-809-8272) by Wednesday, September 25  and let me know what you are bringing.  We are looking for a variety of different dishes, and I would like to coordinate our dishes with Holy Trinity 's dishes before Sunday, September 29.

And if you can, please bring a canned/non perishable item which can be donated to the Hillsdale Helping Hand Food Pantry.  This would be greatly appreciated!

Please contact me with any questions that you might have.

Best regards,

Ingrid
